Very Nice and Relatively easy to use
I have had a love hate relatioship with Amapi for years, but in recent years it has become an excellent piece of modelling software. THe methods it uses to produce images are in some ways unique to Amapi and a lot ousing Amapi is really getting used to the interface.

IF i had spent some time with their documentation I would have had this one down really quick as it is a pretty easy to use application. For the price it is a great deal and it is a really useful tool to have on hand for some of those modeling jobs that wil take an hour or so in Amapi but maybe a day or 2 in a lot of more expensive App.

Well worth the price

One of my most used 3D apps

I use Amapi Pro 7.5 for creating new 3D models and also for cleaning up poly meshes on imported models created from other 3D apps. Amapi Pro 7.5 includes the best of both modeling worlds: Powerful polygon modeling as well as very powerful NURBS modeling. The 3D model you’re making will easily fit into one of the two modeling schemes.

Amapi Pro 7.5 can import NURBS models made in Rhino, which is very cool.

N-gon modeling is supported and OBJ exporting to your favorite texturing/lighting/animating/rendering app is the way to go. Amapi Pro 7.5 does come with Carrara Studio 3’s rendering engine (also made by Eovia) if you don’t have a renderer already.

Be sure you download the lastest 7.51 patch which includes new light mappings and other new features.
