You won’t believe what you get for your money.

This is a very potent piece of software. Sure its not a feature packed as Vue 5 Esprit (its bigger brother), but it maintains a core that is very powerful. Perhaps the best piece of software to compare it to at this price is Bryce 5. Where as bryce does have a terrain editior, plant editor and atmosphere editior. Vue 5 Easel has all these + the terrain editor is in 3D (it looks great and is easy to use), you can load your own textures, load and edit your own plants, good atmosphere editor and best of all; Vue Easel has a layers pallette (unlike Bryce). You can load a variety of models into V Easel from other software and use Vue E to texture them and then render the sceen. I have not used the animation system in the software so you’ll have to investigate that yourself.
Recently the ILM effects house used a high end version of Vue 5 to create some of the scenery in ’Pirates of the Carribean 2’. So what you get is a solid standalone piece of software and the chance to learn something which may even have a commercial application.
Just to sum up, I have been using the demo version dowloaded. So I have not been able to evaluate all the textures, or seen how many you get with Vue 5 Easel software. However, I have been very impressed and will be ordering my copy of Vue 5 Easel on payday.

Great but not so great

This program is awesom. The only problem is the interface is really slow. You need a really powerful machine to harvest the full power of Vue.
